Skyhoundz

Shew, we made it to the Skyhoundz event. Its hard to know if you are going to do something when your baby is due around the same time but she held out and we had a wonderful time Saturday. This will be the last time we will play with the dogs for a wile and at least as a couple, next time we go, hopefully this fall "we" will now be x 3.

Playing with both the pups after the competition was over. We even got a new disc. Of coarse we didn't place, got beat out by a puppy younger than ours how'd that happen? I wish there were more things to do with the dogs around here and parks and other people that wanted to play Frisbee that way we can get our guys use to listening better so they are on top of their game and not looking around so much. They also didn't jump very much it was on the windy side so that didn't help any and they have this particular event separated by male or female in the order you run. There were only a few other male dogs, so our guys had to run practically back to back.

The Dunes

Friday April 9th. Off to the Smyrna Dunes again this time spring break would be over and we took a dog along for the ride. Todd got out of work a little early we packed a bag and cooler and grabbed Cowboy. I have had Cowboy for 5 years now and the poor dog hardly goes anywhere with me since he got hit by a truck a few years ago. We thought the salt water would be good for his old arthritic joints and bones and he always gets left behind so he had a chance to get some time with out the other dogs around. He was a little leary of the water at first but settled in real quick once he found it fun the chance the foam on the waves. Here are a few pictures from the day we love this place and hope to take the hole family to this beach.

39th week check in with not much to report this week I had my checkup on the 7th and no signs of a baby this week. That was a relief I didn't want to miss playing Frisbee with the pups. Looks like a go for the Skyhoundz event this Saturday! Thursday I went to the salon with a friend of mine, I got a pedicure now that I can't reach the tootis its ok to paper my self a little. Then we were off the the tack store to get horse feed just in case I cant get out for a wile. Shopped a little but no great finds, this store is a great place to find used tack & saddles we have both found some great bargains here.

We got the baby a bassinet. It has a unique side canopy. It plays soft lullaby and nature sounds along with a moving mobile with lights and vibration. It also rocks or can pop the wheels down to roll it around the house. I Hope she likes it i know I do. oh and it matches our room color and decor a big plus.

I put the Boppy Bouncer together one afternoon. This is so cute and a must have wile I'm working in the shop or around the house.

Beach Day

Its Friday! Todd got off work early and we went straight out to the beach to enjoy it this time. We needed some sun! We have a seasons pass to Cape Canaveral but it was closed, later we found out that the shuttle is going to launch on Monday. We headed off to find another beach. Todd wanted to go back to Cocoa but I wanted something a little less crowded, it is spring break. Last summer we took the dogs to Smyrna Dunes and had a blast, so we tried our luck and went north. It is the inlet for the inter-coastal to the ocean. The dogs are only allowed on the inlet side and the people and cars on the beach side we headed right for the middle. I could hear loud people from some distance away but by the time we got there we had plenty of room. Wow it was such a wonderful day and with the sun setting in the west we headed around the peninsula so we could have full sun til sunset.

Our two year anniversary

We celebrated our 2 year anniversary on April 1st.
We wanted to get some fresh sea breeze air. Off to the beach! We went to Cocoa Beach just in time, the sun was setting fast. We ate an appetizer at Coconuts on the Beach, left, had a hot date at Walmart and then some fast food for the ride home.

The rest of the pictures are of the Wednesday practice it was hot that day. Finally a nice sunny day with out a jacket!!!! Kristen Borrowed Hale Bopp as Bella is still out of town. Both horses got a good work out and a well needed bath.

Horse Show

tting ready for the last 4-H horse show for a wile. This was the girls at my house on Thursday practicing for the show, but now that it is spring break everyone is going out of town. Looks like its just me and Kari. Bella didn't get to make the last hunter show.

I can't wait to get a slr camera again, that way I can have some photos of the girls and horses over the jumps and some action shots as the little digital is just not cutting it. I added a video of her jumping instead.

This is Kari and Nifty's first time showing in Handy Hunter it has a lot of turns and a combination jump. They did great the pony was getting a little tired and got slow but they made a clean run.


End of the day with the ribbons 2 2nds, 3rd & 4th out of 8 horses in each class, Go Kari!
