One Month Old

May 9th was my first official Mothers Day! Chloe and Todd spend the day in the pool floating around chilling it was a nice day to be outside.

Chloe is now a month old
May 14th This was Chloe's first shuttle launch and of coarse she slept through it.

We also had our family BRPH party at the park. Missy Rowe along with her two girls offered to picked me and Chloe up, it was nice to go with another mother and not having to drive all that way in the truck . All 5 of us road down together, wow now that's a car full of girls! After the Chick-Fl-A feast haha, we chatted for a while till we got bombed by the kids playing corn hole I got hit 3 times the last was in the head and it hit Chloe to so I had enough! Its time to go.

Dirt

May 7th 2010

Well we had a lot of cold weather this winter and it killed a lot of our plants. It looks like we will be planting a lot this spring and summer. We lost the overgrown palm in the from of our yard, I'm not that sad to see it go as it was kinda an eye sore. We don't have the best curb appeal but we are working on it one year at a time. So out with the old dead palm and in with the Dirt!

Three Weeks Old this week

May 4th 2010
Now that Todd is back to work I haven't had much time to even think about Blog updates. I just snap pictures of her at her cutest moments and here are some of her this week.

Yesterday I had a Mothers day event at the birth center this is my first time out with her alone. I was worried that she was not old enough to go but what the heck, I needed to get out of the house and hang with other mothers. I also had a complementary massage appointment from my birth center. I was to use at my 36 week visit but waited till after the baby. I stayed for lunch and the facials. It was fun watching everyone tying to do there own facials and keep there little ones occupied and out of trouble. Chloe got a little fussy so Kayleen took her for a bit put her right to sleep and then showed me how to use my Moby wrap to keep her comfy while she slept and I got to concentrate on the facial.

May 6th 2010
A few pictures of her the last time she was this sweet and quiet the next day would be the worst and for a few weeks she was hard to deal with. Trying to take care of the critters was out of the question. I had to hand that off to Todd for a while as she just keeps crying. Just when I thought this was getting easy she threw me for a loop.

We Have Water!

April 24th 2010

Ok I forgot to post this one but we finally got water ran to the barn. No more hoses in the yard to have to avoid. Woo Hooo. This is also the day Chloes umbilical cord fell off yeah she can have a bath now.

Now we have water for the horses and one for washing the horses that is a bit shorter.


The one by the house that the water was t'd off of got a new Faucet and a house hang out.


We also did the one by the pool pump, it leaked, and why not do the rest of them on the house so everything is now in working order. Just in time to run hoses to water the yard when it comes time to seed.

Derby Weekend

April 30th, Derby weekend, This is usually a big weekend for us, or at least the first Saturday on May is. We always have friends over for a derby party, but not this year. This is a special event that the 4H girls have been working hard for all year (4-h year starts in September) they have to do a lot of book work, record taking, volunteering and writing essays. I find other activities for them to do to help get them more extra credit or points along the way. I was so afraid that the baby would come late and I would not be able to take them to the show. It all worked out and Todd drove the horses, (it was the first time he had pulled the trailer) with me, the girls and Chloe in the hybrid. After an hour and a half of driving we arrived at Clarcona Horseman's Park. We got a great parking place near the stalls, unpacked and set up the stalls for the horses, hanging water buckets and fans and then the tack stall. The girls got the horses worked and cleaned up and all braided for the show on Saturday and Sunday.

There was a wonderful photographer at the show so I couldn't resist, I had to have some pic of my boys (horses) at the show, the photos turned out wonderful and I missed the last day of competition. I got a CD filled with all there pictures, what a great keep sake.

May 1st 2010

1st class of the day was at 8am, Showmanship with 50 horses in the class this will be a long one. I wasn't able to make it there in time, but I did get there for the other classes.

Bella and Enter Hale Bopp in their showmanship class, Bella and HB did get a call back out of 50 horses but did not place.

Next was the flat classes for both girls. They had a Hunter under saddle class each and a equitation class each.

Kari did hunter under saddle pony so he was in a class with his size not the big horses.


Bella in her hunter under saddle jr. rider, she was in there with the big horses just because he is 2 measly inches taller than Nifty. Enter Hale Bopp is considereded a horse.

May 2nd
Day 2 Jumping classes

Kari was in Working hunter pony and equitation over fences jr. rider, she placed 6th in her pony class earning her one point which qualified her to go to State.

Bella and HB were in hunter hack jr rider and equitation over fences jr. rider, she placed 4th in hunter hack and that gave her 2 points and qualified her for state as well.

A couple of pictures of the jump course, the horses have never seen jumps this fancy before I'm proud that they did well.
